Look, we're architects, not data miners. This privacy policy is here because it's gotta be, but honestly? We're pretty straightforward about what we do with your info. We've built our practice on trust and transparency - same principles we apply when someone hands us the keys to design their dream space.
When you reach out to us or fill out a contact form, yeah, we're gonna collect your name, email, phone number, and whatever details you share about your project. Can't really help design your space if we don't know who you are or what you're after, right?
Our website might grab some technical stuff too - IP addresses, browser type, pages you visit. Standard web stuff that helps us figure out if our site's actually working properly. We use cookies for basic functionality, nothing creepy.
Pretty simple: we use it to respond to your inquiries, discuss potential projects, send you proposals, and keep you updated on work we're doing together. That's basically it.
Sometimes we'll send out newsletters about recent projects or sustainable design trends we're excited about - but only if you've said that's cool with you. Don't worry, we're not gonna spam you with weekly emails. We're too busy designing buildings for that.
We don't sell your information. Period. That's not our business model and frankly, it feels gross.
We might share details with consultants, engineers, or contractors when we're working on your project together - but that's project-related sharing, not marketing nonsense. Everyone we work with is bound by confidentiality agreements anyway.
If the law requires us to share information (like tax stuff or legal compliance), we'll do that. But we're not handing over your data to random third parties for their marketing campaigns or whatever.
As a Canadian firm operating in BC, we follow PIPEDA and provincial privacy regulations. You've got rights here - you can ask to see what personal info we've got on you, request corrections if something's wrong, or ask us to delete it (unless we legally need to keep it for project records or accounting purposes).
Wanna know what we've collected? Just shoot us an email. We'll get back to you within a reasonable timeframe - usually within 30 days, though sometimes project deadlines mean we're swamped.
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. Our systems are secure, we use encrypted communications when sharing sensitive project details, and we don't leave client files lying around for anyone to see.
That said, nothing's 100% bulletproof online. We do our best, but we can't guarantee absolute security - nobody can, really. We're vigilant though.
Here's something specific to what we do: architectural projects generate loads of documentation - drawings, specifications, emails, meeting notes, photos. We keep this stuff for professional liability reasons and because building codes require it. Some records we're legally obligated to maintain for years after project completion.
We'll always ask before sharing project photos publicly or using your space in our portfolio. Your home or business is yours, and we respect that.
We use some external services - email providers, cloud storage for project files, analytics tools. These companies have their own privacy policies, and we pick vendors we trust who comply with Canadian privacy standards.
Our website might link to other sites (like material suppliers or sustainable building resources). Once you click away from our site, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
If we change how we handle privacy stuff, we'll update this page and note the date up top. Major changes? We'll probably send an email to active clients. We're not gonna pull any sneaky updates buried in fine print.
If something here doesn't sit right with you or you've got questions, just reach out. We're real people running a design studio, not a faceless corporation. Call us at (604) 555-7892 or email studio@ultharenquinthal.info.
We're based at 1247 West Georgia Street, Suite 810, Vancouver, BC V6E 4E1 if you wanna chat in person over coffee.
